  2. Just finished one I have a question I have many small holes is it because the chains are loose because I haven't used he bulky yarn? I'm using a acrylic yarn 4ply and a 7mm hook

    1. I realized I'm using a 5.5 mm hook... Could that be the cause of why my hat is bigger? My first hat was made with the same hook though....

    1. Hi Aviana, I'm pleased someone so young has set up shop and enjoying crochet but I sincerely hope you 're business is NOT called Happy Berry Crochet and Knitting because that would be a serious copyright infringement on my business name. Rule number 1 of setting up shop is to create your own business name. Wishing you all the best. :)

  10. Hey:) This is BY FAR the easiest beanie tutorial out there! I have printed it out. I used HDC stitches (I'm in the US) because I live in FL and wanted a notsotight weave in the hat. Thank you:)

  13. Will a worsted #4 / 5 oz. yarn work for this beanie pattern and if so should I use the same size needle or should I use something smaller?

  17. Laura,
I'm very new to crocheting and thankfully found your tutorials, which are excellent. I'm working on the beanie hat at the moment. I wonder if you could offer a list of things that go wrong.....for instance I've restarted this project several times, as I lose track of where I am and by the time I get to the 5th row the rows seem to merge. Mine is also not laying flat. Is this normal, or does it mean my stitches are too tight...too loose....Please help.
    Thank you.
